6.4.3 Tethered Power Transmission
Energy may be transferred to in vivo medical nanorobots via physical tethers. Virtually all forms of power may be transmitted in this fashion, including electrical, electromagnetic, acoustic, mechanical, and chemical energy. A general discussion of various factors and scenarios that favor or disfavor the use of tethers, as compared to other methods of energy transmission, is in Section 6.4.3.6.
